Andrew Giering became a brother of Psi Upsilon in the spring semester of his freshman year. Born and raised in West Haven, Connecticut, Andrew graduated from The Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut in June 2005. Editor of the school newspaper and founder of a political forum, Andrew was a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction. An organizer for the Connecticut Democratic Party, Andrew served as a congressional intern and volunteered on the unsuccessful presidential campaigns of Joe Lieberman and John Kerry. This summer, he worked full-time as a field organizer for Senator Lieberman in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. This fall, Andrew worked at Avery Library while interning in marketing and publicity with Penguin Books. In his free time, Andrew enjoys concerts, bicycling, playing poker and setback, and spending time with friends and family. After college, Andrew plans on attending law school in New York or New England.
